Privacy notice
Palette Forge is a single static page with no application backend, no user accounts and no database. There is nothing to sign in to and no server-side profile of you. This notice describes exactly what the page writes to your own device and what leaves it. Last updated 2026-08-24.
What is stored on your device
Palette Forge uses your browser's localStorage, which is storage on your own
computer or phone that this site can read back on your next visit. It writes exactly two keys:

Neither key contains a name, an email address, an identifier, a device fingerprint or anything that describes you. Both are readable and removable at any time: clear this site's data in your browser settings, use a private window, or select "Clear recents" in the tool. Clearing them has no effect other than emptying the recent list and resetting the preferences to their defaults.
What is not stored and not uploaded
- No account. There is no registration, no login and no password.
- No cookies. Palette Forge sets no cookies of its own.
- No file uploads. An image you drop, paste or browse for in the palette extractor is decoded into an HTML canvas inside the page, sampled for its dominant colors, and then discarded. The file itself is never transmitted anywhere and is not written to storage.
- No palette sync. Palettes are shared by copying a URL. The palette is encoded in the part of the address after the
#, which browsers do not send to servers.
Server logs and performance monitoring
The web server that delivers this page keeps ordinary technical request logs, which may include the requested path, the response status, the time of the request, and the IP address and user agent supplied by your browser. That is the standard record any web server produces in order to operate and troubleshoot; it is not used to build a profile of you.
When the deployment has the platform's frontend monitoring enabled, the page also loads Tencent
Cloud RUM, a performance-monitoring script that reports aggregate page-load timings, JavaScript
errors and a coarse traffic-source label derived from the referring site and any
utm_ parameters in the address. That label is a category such as
search, social, ai or direct. Your palettes, your images and
your exports are never included in these reports.
Children
Palette Forge is a general-purpose design utility. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect personal information at all.
Your choices
Because nothing about you is collected or transmitted, there is no account to delete and no data export to request. To remove everything Palette Forge has placed on your device, clear this site's storage in your browser. Changes
If this notice changes, the revised version will be published at this address with a new date at the top. There is no mailing list to notify, because there is no mailing list.
